The practice of physical therapy began in the fourth century, when physicians like Hippocrates administered massage and hydrotherapy to treat patients. And while there have been seismic leaps forward in the treatment of injuries and the administration of therapies, one thing has remained constant: the human body is prone to chronic pain.

In Motion Therapy founder, Dr. Annita Winkels, is a physical therapist who has built a culture of dedicated therapists who provide the highest level of expertise to their patients. Her clinical objective is to treat each patient with one-on-one therapy for their unique condition. Process improvement is always a priority.

When Dr. Annita Winkels started practicing physical therapy, much of the industry used stretches and exercises that treated the specific muscle that caused the pain. As time went on, she discovered that there was a better way. She found that by treating the whole body and getting to the sources of the pain you would provide better long-term outcomes to your patients.

In Motion Therapy was created to provide a better way to enable people to lead fuller lives. By treating the whole body their patients are able to live more freely. This is done by getting to the sources of the pain and using our hands to restore movement. Additionally, they educate their patients as to the source of the pain. This makes the patient feel empowered to be more in control of their health which leads to confidence that they can get back to living fully and move freely.
